E-Moderating course (open)
E-moderators are the new generation of teachers and trainers who work with learners online. We have designed this course to ‘strike a spark’ and help make the online world a creative, happy, productive and relevant place for successful learning.

Small factions of teachers, researchers and trainers have led the way in working out what helps us to become successful e-moderators. This course will give you the experience of learning online with others, and offers you exploration of these newest usable and applied ideas about e-moderation.

You will need some commitment. At least 5 hours a week for 4 weeks. The course encourages you to reflect on your ideas about e-moderating and those of others as you go about your usual every day work or in downtime- travelling or in the bath!

The online course is divided up into 4 sessions, relating to stages in the 5-stage model. As a student in the course you will be expected to read the weekly assigned reading (from the book E-moderating) and take part in a number of online activities – we call them e-tivities

The course runs on Blackboard and FirstClass – for details of the latest courses see the Home page.

E-Moderating course (customised)
Many organisations wish to develop the skills of their trainers and developers using their own software systems. Accordingly we have developed a web-based version of the course and are delighted to offer it on the clients own systems. We have customised the course to run on a variety of software platforms including Moodle, Blackboard and WebCT.

We will place the course on a client’s system, review the content with them and make modifications so that the material fits into the client’s context.

We will help client trainers to develop skills to run the course and will license the course to be used for further training of the clients own people.

E-tivities course (open)
We have developed a three week introductory course especially to help those that design courses in an e-learning environment. It aims to improve design skills for increased participation. For details of the latest courses see the Home page.
